I had an absolutely fantastic experience at this restaurant! The service was top-notch from the moment we walked in. Our server Emily was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. Our food arrived promptly and was delicious. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for excellent service and a delightful meal.

The food was great and the service was good as well. Emily Mai was my server and she catered to all my concerns and needs! She did an excellent job at making my experience at Miyabi Shabu and Grill a good one. I definitely would come back again because of her. Y'all, she deserves a raise!!!

Literally the BEST shabu spot in OC. I've tried them all... Miyabi has the best price, staff (shout out to Tommy & Will), cleanliness and most importantly- the food.
They updated their menu, but they've always had shabu and option for bbq.
If you haven't been, you must try it and you're in for a TREAT!
Our favorite broths are Tonkatsu and Sukiyaki- but they have so many other options to choose from! For meat, we usually get beef belly or short rib. Veggies are always fresh and we LOVE the topping they add to the rice. Their sauces are unique & taste super fresh.. sesame and ponzu done right. They also have hot drops here for those who want that extra spicy kick!
I wish they opened more locations!

My family and I came here for Shabu Shabu for dinner and were able to easily reserve a table in the private room for the five of us. They had two options: a la carte or AYCE, and we decide to do a la carte. Service was very quick and friendly, and multiple servers came in to check in on us and quickly met our requests throughout the night.
We ended up ordering two toro (beef belly) shareable plates, and one kata rosu (chuck roll) shareable plate. Each shareable plate comes with two sets: a choice of white or brown rice, veggie platter, and udon or ramen. We were given three burners and pots total for our shabu shabu, with the option to select different broths. We ended up getting tonkotsu, miso tonkotsu, and sukiyaki. Each person is provided two sauces (one is similar to ponzu and the other is the sesame sauce) and can self-serve minced garlic, radish, or green onions to the sauce.
The broth was flavorful, but not overwhelming or too strong. Three shareable plates for our party of five was the perfect amount, leaving us satisfied, but not too full. The meat quality was good and presentation/seasoning reminded me of the Mokkoji special. Both sauces complemented the meat and veggies well.
For our party, this was a pretty simple and straightforward shabu experience. Miyabi impressed me because despite only ordering two different types of meat and having a set veggie platter, the meal itself was satisfying, tasty, and the thing that stood out most was the service. You can reserve ahead of time and this place doesn't get super busy. Miyabi is a competitive alternative to some of the other shabu/hot pot places that are located in Irvine.

I came to Miyabi for their AYCE anniversary special and loved every bit of it. We also had the best server, Will. Miyabi offers a wide selection of meats, including premium cuts like wagyu, chuck roll, prime rib eye, and karubi. The quality of the ingredients used at Miyabi is exceptional. The freshness of the meats and the care taken in selecting them is there. My favorite type of cuts are their zabuton, karubi, and rib eye prime. The service at Miyabi is the most attentive and friendly. The owner was also on the floor helping the staff and was super nice to our family. The staff often assists with the grilling process, ensuring you have a seamless and enjoyable meal. 10/10 and would come back!!

they have an ayce menu option now and it's 49.99 per person for both shabu and grill which i think is super neat . they still have an a le carte option if you're not feeling ayce that day. the quality of the food is amazing. i love the karubi there and the zabuton meat, it just tastes so heavenly. their egg custard is also to die for. i think their basket of vegetables is cute and adorable. the servers there are always so attentive and service is amazing. would recommend you guys to go and give it a try

I normally come to Miyabi during the lunch time. The waiters are always very friendly and attentive too. The flavor, and presentation of everything is so appealing to the eye, Miyabi really reminded me of the Shabu spots I used to go when in Japan. My favorite broth is their Spicy Miso Tonkotsu. The protein will depend on my cravings.

I've been here multiple times, with the most recent one being for lunch. Locating inside a commercial plaza in the middle of the residential area of Irvine. The plaza lies at the intersection of Jeffrey Rd and Irvine Center Dr so it's convenient for those looking to escape the bustle and hustle of Irvine Spectrum after a day of shopping or a good place to destress from work. Parking is plenty but will filled up by dinner time so plan to come a bit earlier than your dinner time. Sometimes, there's a small wait during the weekend (for me it was about 15 minutes) but when I can during lunch time, it was quiet that you can own the place to yourself.
The interior is spacious with a giant bar counter occupied much of the restaurant center. The space is also double as an open kitchen that the staffs would sometimes cut the meat and veggies here. Aside from the two large screen TV to entertain solo diners, decoration has been kept to the minimum with the exception of a private dining area resembling a traditional teahouse. There are plenty of tables catering to different parties, with tow seats locating on the left and four seats on the right side of the restaurant while everyone else would be seated at the u-shaped bar counter. Each seat has its own stove that can either be controlled on the side of the table or facing inward that the staffs can control it for you if seated at the bar. The tables also have grills should one opt for the half & half option. Services are generally quick and staffs were attentive in most of my visits.
Through all my visits, I've only tried the Sukiyaki and the Tom Yum broth ($3/ flavor.) The Tom Yum is among my favorites for most of the Shabu places I've been to for it is flavorful without being overpowering. The Sukiyaki by contrast, has a pure bland flavor that my throw people off at first but feels fresh and clean as you sip more. The accompanying veggies are fresh and both the udon and ramen are off fresh quality and chewy. As for the meat, I always ordered one side of Toro ($25/ 8oz) and the Angus Rib-Eye Prime ($35/ 6oz.) Despite being the cheapest meat option, the Toro is sweet and tender that will instantly bring a smile to anyone face due to its high fat concentration. On the other hand, the Rib-Eye has more substance and will fill your stomach better in the long run. The Goma sauce here is sweet that helps bringing out the meat flavors while the Ponzu is more sour. I usually mix the Goma with raw egg yolk for a more complex flavor in addition to the meat. With tax, our meals usually costs around $65 for two so it's not bad for a dinner after payday. The restaurant also has a stamp card system but you need to ask for one or they may not give you.
Overall, I only had good experience with this place thus far and as long as they continue to keep up with their service and high quality ingredients, I will continue to come and introduce it to more people.

I'd say this is one of the best shabu places I've ever had in Irvine and I've tried a few in my days. That being said, I think Panda Express is some of the best Chinese food out there so never take my reviews seriously. It was a little expensive, but who really goes out for shabu thinking it's going to be cheap. The meat was good. The flavor was good. The service was good. All around a 5/5 place.
